The
Freisa Pinerolese is obtained
from the grape of the Freisa
variety. It is a vivacious dry
ruby red wine with intense perfume
and endnotes with signs of raspberry.
Composition: the Freisa Pinerolese
DOC is obtained from the grape
of the Freisa vine cultivated
in the Pinerolese area. Time
of harvest: Last week of September.
Production Technique: start
of the fermentation and maceration
of the must on the vine for
around 5 days. The final phase
of the fermentation goes on
once separated from the vine
and at a temperature of around
25 degrees. Following this the
wine comes preserved in steel
barrels until bottling.
Alcohol content: 11.5% [vol].
How to drink: The Freisa Pinerolese,
for all its freshness flavours,
is a wine that combines very
well with appetizers, pasta
and white meats. It also goes
extremely well with the classical
Piedmontese specialty "Bagna
Cauda". It should be served
at a temperature of 14-16°.
